Youth Clinical Therapist

- MORE ABOUT JACKILYN -

What are your areas of experience?
As a dedicated and trauma-informed clinician with over 8 years of experience supporting youth from Pre-K through 12th grade, I bring a deep commitment to fostering healing, resilience, and growth in children and adolescents. My practice is rooted in a strength-based, person-centered framework and guided by empowerment theory and intersectionality. This lens allows me to honor each client’s unique lived experience and cultural identity while collaboratively supporting their path to wellness.

What are your clinical interests?
With a strong clinical foundation in attachment theory, I prioritize the development of safe, secure, and trusting therapeutic relationships as the bedrock of effective care. I specialize in working with clients navigating a range of challenges, including autism spectrum disorder, sensory sensitivities, ADHD, anxiety, depression, mood dysregulation, and gender identity (gender affirming therapy). I will tailor interventions to meet the individual needs of each client, ensuring they feel seen, heard, and valued in every session.

How would you describe your therapeutic approach?
I am passionate about creating inclusive, affirming therapeutic spaces that support self-agency, emotional regulation, and identity exploration. By viewing each client through a holistic and empowering lens, I strive to facilitate long-term emotional well-being, strengthen interpersonal relationships, and promote sustainable growth both in and beyond the therapeutic setting.

Are there any specialized trainings or treatment models that you frequently incorporate?
My integrative approach is responsive and flexible, drawing from a diverse array of evidence-based modalities, including EMDR, play therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), talk therapy, narrative therapy, expressive arts, and Theraplay. This mixed-methodology approach allows me to address the cognitive, emotional, and somatic dimensions of trauma and mental health while respecting the developmental stage and neurodiversity of each individual.
