- MORE ABOUT ALLIE -
What are your areas of experience?
I have experience working with children and teens, aged 5-18, in a variety of settings - supporting them through individual and group counseling, helping with social, emotional, and behavioral challenges and during times of crisis. I've also planned and led after-school programs that give students a positive space to explore interests, build friendships, and grow both socially and emotionally.
What are your clinical interests?
I'm passionate about supporting the emotional and developmental needs of children and teens, particularly in the areas of anxiety, self-esteem, emotional regulation, peer relationships, and gender affirming therapy. I'm especially interested in using creative, strengths-based approaches in both individual and group settings.
How would you describe your therapeutic approach?
My approach is supportive, trauma-informed, and compassionate. I focus on creating a safe, nonjudgemental space where children and teens feel heard, understood, and empowered. I draw from a variety of approaches to help young people build coping skills, regulate emotions, and navigate challenges like anxiety, anger, frustration, and self-esteem. Whether in one-on-one sessions, groups, or crisis situations, I aim to meet my clients where they are and support them in growing with confidence and resilience.
Are there any specialized trainings or treatment models that you frequently incorporate?
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Social Emotional Learning (SEL), Mindfulness-Based Interventions, Trauma-informed Care, Client-Centered
